In vitro lytic efficiency of Staphylococcus aureus bacteriophages in bacteria from bovine mastitis: a meta-analysis

چکیده

ABSTRACT: Bacteriophages have been investigated as alternative to the treatment of bacterial infections, including bovine mastitis, in production animals. In this meta-analysis, we evaluated vitro efficiency phages Staphylococcus aureus against S. aureus, which is involved etiology mastitis. Seventeen studies were included and lytic activity was extracted using proportion analysis. The obtained meta-analysis a random-effects model [significant difference (P<0.05)]. Forest plots used graphically represent on isolates. Most (e.g., CS1, DW2, ΦSA011, ΦSA012, ΦSA022, ΦSA023, ΦSA024, ΦSA025, ΦSA037, ΦSA038, ΦSA039, ΦSA041, ΦSA042, ΦSA043, ΦSA044, MSA6, Ufv-aur2 Ufv-aur11, SAH-1, SPW, vB_SauM_JS25, SaPh1 SaPh6, SA, SANF, SA2, phi11, phiIPLA88, phiIPLA35, phiIPLA-RODI, phiIPLA-C1C, SAJK-IND, vBSP-A1, vBSP-A2, STA1.ST29, EB1.ST11, EB1.ST27, Remus, ISP) efficiently lytics or infected most isolates, demonstrating 80% (P<0.05) efficiency. SANF also demonstrated non-Staphylococcus Macrococcus caseolyticus compared host range phages. Additionally, an be researched treat mastitis dairy cattle caused by prevalent microorganism, aureus.

A high prevalence of tylosin resistance among Staphylococcus aureus strains isolated from bovine mastitis

The macrolides appear to have considerable effects for treatment of bovine mastitis because of excellent diffusion into the mammary gland, long half-life, low protein binding, high intracellular concentration and lipid solubility. Acquired resistance to macrolides in Staphylococcus aureus is primarily related to target-site modification through acquisition of an erm gene. In t...

Frequency of specific agr groups and antibiotic resistance in Staphylococcus aureus isolated from bovine mastitis in the northeast of Iran

Staphylococcus aureus is generally regarded as a leading cause of mastitis in dairy cattle. The aim of this study was to investigate the pattern of agr groups and any possible relationship between agr groups and antibiotic resistance among S. aureus strains isolated from bovine mastitis in Northeast of Iran. For this purpose, a total of 300 bovine mastitic mi...

Identification of Toxic Shock Syndrome Toxin-1 (TSST-1) gene in Staphylococcus aureus isolated from bovine mastitis milk

Staphylococcus aureus is a major causative pathogen of clinical and subclinical mastitis of dairy domestic ruminants. This agent produces a variety of extracellular toxins and virulence factors including Toxic Shock Syndrome Toxin-1 (TSST-1) which is the major cause of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). In this study 58 S. aureus isolates obtained from 9 dairy herds in East and West Azerbaijan provinc...

Staphylococcus aureus exosecretions and bovine mastitis.

The role of Staphylococcus aureus and coagulase-negative staphylococcal exosecretions in bovine udder infection was tested by monitoring the cows' response to in vivo inoculation of bacterial exosecretions into udder quarters. Twenty Israeli-Holstein dairy cows were included in the study; two or three of the udder quarters of each cow were intracisternally inoculated with 0.04-0.05 mg/quarter (...

Antibiotic Susceptibility and Plasmid Profiles of Staphylococcus aureus Strains Isolated from Bovine Subclinical Mastitis in Tabriz, Iran

ABSTRACT        Background and Objectives: Mastitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus is a widely distributed disease in cattle, goats and sheep. The infection is often subclinical in cattle, leading to reduced milk production and quality, but acute catarrhal or even gangrenous inflammation may also occur. The aim of this study was to investigate resistance of S. au...
